The farm location was an absolute dream, especially during the enchanting "golden hour" at 8:30 pm - I mean, have you ever heard of a more magical hour? For those who've yet to discover Montevideo, it's a hidden gem located in the western part of Minnesota. But, let's talk about these images! They're the kind that makes my heart flutter with joy. The kids were an absolute hoot, tearing up the place with their bikes and toys, and I loved catching up with Breanna, who I used to work with back in the day. It's wild how fast kids grow up - I remember when Ryker was still in his mama's belly! Overall, I'm bursting with gratitude for this family who let me capture their most precious moments. So, let me break down my secret recipe for some stunning shots: I whipped out my trusty Canon 5D mark iv, accompanied by my fave Sigma 70-200 lens, and the mighty Godox 600 AD Pro with a softbox. Oh, the magic of Off-Camera Flash! It's like having a remote control for your light, which means no over-exposed backgrounds and more background detail with a dash of artistic flair! Although, I must admit, the walking shots in the lush grass were captured with natural light because, let's face it, my OCF light is a beast! It's bulky and heavy, but worth it because of the dazzling catchlights it creates in the eyes. After all, eyes are the windows to the soul, and catchlights are the key to bringing them alive!
